Last updated: July 21, 2026

1. Introduction

CashOnlyJobs.ca is committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with applicable Canadian privacy laws, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and substantially similar provincial privacy laws where they apply. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect your information, including information received when you sign in with Google.

2. Information We Collect

  • Voluntary Information: When you post a job or contact a user, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, and job details.
  • Account Information: When you create an account (including with Google Sign-In), we collect the information needed to operate your account, such as your name, email address, and location (province/city).
  • Automated Information: We may collect your IP address, device and browser information, approximate location derived from your IP address, pages viewed, and interactions with the Site through cookies and similar technologies.

3. Google Sign-In and Google User Data

You may create an account or sign in using Google OAuth (“Sign in with Google”). When you choose this option, we request access only to the following Google scopes: openid, email, and profile.

Google user data we access: your Google account identifier, verified email address, and basic profile name information (such as given name, family name, and display name).

How we use Google user data: solely to authenticate you, create or link your CashOnlyJobs.ca account, keep your account secure, and provide account-related features of the Site. We do not use Google user data for advertising, selling, or determining credit-worthiness.

How we store Google user data: we store your Google account identifier, email address, and name on our servers in association with your CashOnlyJobs.ca account so you can sign in again and so we can operate the Site.

Sharing of Google user data: we do not sell, rent, or transfer Google user data to third parties for advertising, data brokerage, or similar purposes. We may disclose information only as described in Section 6 (Disclosure of Information), such as when required by law or to operate the Site with service providers who process data on our behalf.

CashOnlyJobs.ca’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

4. Analytics, Cookies, and Feature Flags

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site and to improve its performance and content. Google Analytics may collect device and browser information, approximate location, pages viewed, referral information, and interactions with the Site using cookies or similar technologies. Google processes this information on our behalf under its applicable terms and privacy practices.

We use feature-flagging tools to safely deliver and evaluate Site features. These tools may use an anonymous or internal account identifier and browser local storage to keep feature settings consistent.

You can limit cookies through your browser settings and use the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Blocking cookies or local storage may affect some Site features.

5. How We Use Your Information

  • To connect Job Seekers with Employers.
  • To display job postings to the public.
  • To create and manage your account, including Google Sign-In.
  • To prevent fraud and maintain site security.
  • To communicate with you regarding your account or postings.
  • To measure Site usage and improve its performance, content, and user-facing features.

6. Disclosure of Information

  • Public Display: Information included in a job post (e.g., description, general location, contact method) will be visible to Site visitors.
  • Service Providers: We may share information with vendors who help us host, operate, or secure the Site, send service emails, provide analytics, or deliver feature flags. These providers include Google Analytics and feature-flagging providers as described above. They may process information only to provide services to us under their applicable contractual obligations.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by Canadian law or a valid court order.
  • No Selling of Data: We do not sell or rent your personal information, including Google user data, to third parties for marketing purposes.

7. Data Security

We implement reasonable physical, administrative, and technical safeguards designed to protect information in transit and while stored. These safeguards include HTTPS for data in transit, restricted database access, authentication controls, and limiting access to personal information to people and service providers who need it for an authorized purpose. No security measure is perfect, so use caution when sharing sensitive information, such as your home address, in public postings.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain personal information, including Google user data associated with your account, for as long as your account remains active. We may retain specific records after account closure only for as long as reasonably necessary to comply with legal obligations, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. We periodically review retained information and delete or de-identify it when it is no longer required for those purposes.

You may request deletion of your account and associated personal information by emailing contact@cashonlyjobs.ca from the email address associated with your account. After verifying the request, we will delete or de-identify the account information that we are not legally required to retain and confirm when the request has been completed.

Deleting your CashOnlyJobs.ca account does not delete your Google account. You may also revoke CashOnlyJobs.ca’s access through your Google Account’s security settings.

9. Your Privacy Rights

  • Ask whether we hold personal information about you and request access to it.
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Request the deletion of your data (subject to our record-retention obligations).
  • Withdraw consent to a use of your information, subject to legal and contractual restrictions.
  • Ask questions or challenge our compliance with applicable privacy law.

10. Privacy Contact and Complaints

Our Privacy Officer is responsible for our personal information practices. To exercise your privacy rights, ask a question, or make a complaint, email the Privacy Officer at contact@cashonlyjobs.ca. We may need to verify your identity before responding to a request.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the applicable provincial privacy regulator.

11. Electronic Communications (CASL)

We may send service communications that are necessary to operate your account or respond to your requests. We send commercial electronic messages only where we have consent or another lawful basis under Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). Marketing messages will identify the sender and include an unsubscribe method. We will process unsubscribe requests within the period required by law. Unsubscribing from marketing does not prevent necessary account, security, or transactional messages.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If we materially change how we use personal information, including Google user data, we will provide notice and obtain consent where required before using the information for a new purpose.
